OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE
Dive into the PADI Open Water course, it's the most popular dive course in the world, once qualified it's your passport to the underwater world. The PADI Open Water Course is the most widely recognised dive qualification in the world and can be mastered by anyone who is reasonably fit and comfortable in the water. Just find the style of learning from the options below that suits you best, contact us and let's start blowing bubbles.
Part Time
The most popular method of learning to dive. It consists of classroom sessions and pool sessions on Sundays at Ongar Leisure Centre for 4 weeks. This is then followed with an exam and a final pool session. After that its off to the Open Water to complete your course with four open water dives that demonstrate your mastery of the skills you learnt in the pool (in fact there's less to do in the open water than the pool)
Self Study
If you haven't got the time to attend the classroom session, or feel happier if you are self taught, we offer the self study option. Collect a crew pack, and then turn up on a Sunday evening to check your knowledge reviews and complete the quizzes. If you have any problems, your instructor may advise you to attend the classroom sessions. After the exam it's down to the pool to put everything you have learned into practice
Personalised Option
Don't let our schedule cramp your style, if you can't make five consecutive weeks give us a call and arrange to personalise your course (personalised courses may attract an extra payment, there again it may fit with an existing plan in which case there will be no extra cost!)
Referral Option
Complete the classroom and pool work at Ongar under one of the above options and complete the open water section on holiday (who wants to spend time in a classroom on holiday when the sun is shining?). Having completed your pool and classroom modules with us you take your completed log book to your chosen PADI dive centre any where in the world to finish your training with your four open water dives.
